The French, Germans, Dutch, Belgians, and Portugese have histories of being very efficient in this respect. Let's take the place down, and collect their bids. We will take our share of the oil (for our trouble, and the memory of the 3,000 murder victims that our liberals are trying so damned hard to make us forget), and split the total with the contract occupier, requiring only that Iraq be moved toward capitalism (that often, but not always, leads to democracy). Democracy is not, and never should be, the ultimate goal, capitalism should. The oil money that is left to Iraq for development purposes should be tied to their progress in both establishing religious freedom, and in DESTROYING the Islamic sects that desire the destruction of the WEST. Education can be a weapon, but only after the West's universities have been adequately purged of left wing influences. The left wing "intellectuals" nesting in Western academia are equally as passionate enemies of the West as is world Islam. As for "when they are ready", that may not be an important question for 50 to 100 years. But evidence of a new Enlightenment can be gauged WHEN OUR OWN ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS HAVE BEEN PURGED OF ALL LEFT WING INFLUENCE. That alone, will take 20 years or more, so we can start worrying about "freeing" the new colonies a very long time from now. Like any animals, you don't send them back into the wild when they are likely to destroy themselves, or you. As for citizenship in the US for some colonists, that question is irrelevant. We should be accepting immigrants who can add value to our economy, and rejecting the ones who come here to feed off the liberal Welfare State. Abolishing that liberal Welfare State is, of course, the easiest and most effective solution. Some Americans may find this program of "New Colonization" a lot of trouble and expense. But World Wars I and II proved to be far more so, and the de-colonization that followed WWII has been a visible and spectacular FAILURE. So, to them I say: Remember the thousands who have been murdered already, and imagine the millions who will follow, if we don't begin now, as the world I describe will happen, sooner or later, and sooner is always better...
