Thanks for the posting from the WSJ. In the past week or so market fear drove down the price of all stocks. These utility companies are no longer basket cases. Look at EP. Now EP is yielding 16%. Nothing financially has changed for the company. There has been an accusation by the FERC judge that EP kept natural gas from the California market. But it has been a long way from proven. And a long way from a final decision.

It appears that most of these companies have made a strong double bottom and should be in an uptrend for a while.

What is meant by excessive supply? How excessive is the situation right now? Is it due mostly to the recession or to a great increase in recent capacity?
