An interesting point on Boddington:

According to analyst Brierley, Boddington has relatively high forecast cash costs of $A350 per ounce and the risk profile may not suit Newmont's corporate strategy. "The project is a little bit risky because of the low grades and it will need significant hedging to protect the downside, particularly in the early years," he said. "And with Newmont's stated objective of not hedging the gold price, we see the most likely scenario is AngloGold taking 100% control," Brierley added.
