The Iraqis offered to allow "free and unfettered inspections" last week. Bush immediately rejected this sensible offer and countered by duplicitously raising the ante. Bush welshed on the deal. Bush is the conniver here. Bush refused to abide by his own rules. He moved the goalposts. Do I make myself clear? Bush is a hyporcrite who only wants to steal the Iraqi oil and is willing to lie forever in order to loot it. It's called the "BIG LIE" technique and the Bush family are the nation's experts at the game. Just review the dozens of lies Bush told during the campaignt that he has betrayed us on. He was for a balanced budget, compassionate health and welfare policies, the environment, etc, etc. All of which he has abandoned for the sake of his war obsessions. The record is clear. George Bush is the opposite of who he told us he was when he was campaigning. No surprise to those of us who read Molly Ivins' great book "Shrub". But a complete surprise to the Republican faithful who foolishly trusted the man who has betrayed them. -Ray
