It is a joke to say that we should look at our own moral compass in comparison to others. Our society isn't perfect by any means but in discussing the Middle East, we are talking about a region that is stuck generations behind us. Yes, we have a history of intolerance related to african americans and women's rights etc... but that can be used as a model for the Middle East as we have unleashed productive and creative forces that are being repressed in the Middle East. >>obvioulsy the terrorists feel that terrorism is working and they will get a better deal by continuing to fight. at the very least they feel they can get as much as was offered before, so there is little to lose. little to lose? again, they are living in poverty and losing children to suicide and being killed by the Jewish military.
