10:04 ET Existing Home Sales a bit weaker than expected : The 1.7% decline in August Existing Home Sales left the pace of sales at 5.28 mln, slightly below the 5.40 mln consensus. The July sales pace was revised up to 5.37 mln from 5.33 mln. Though down from its hyperactive sales pace of Apr/May, sales are still strong by historical standards, and like other housing data - these figures indicate that the housing sector is stable at a strong pace of activity.
