I'm presently reading Friedman's "From Beirut to Jerusalem". I think it should be mandatory reading for anyone who wishes to have even a minimal understanding of the relationship between Arafat and Sharon, the Lebanon invasion, the conflict between Israel and the PLO, adn the Middle East in general.

C, I read Friedman's globalization book and while I found it helpful, I thought it was more than a little pollyannish. What about this book do you like?
