Sabre rattling to take the public's attention away from domestic problems is a tried and true device of politicians. Bush is doing it. Hitler did it. That was the logic behind her comparison. I don't believe it is faulty. I think her extreme choice of an historical comparison reflects her discomfort with Bush, his motives, his credibility, and his competence.
