No, I don't think so. His long positions are a "blend" mixture of value/growth, currently in sectors like retail, health care. In a sustained bull run, he would unhedge them and probably leverage them (up to 50% permitted). Assuming his sector mix was adjusted correctly to reflect what was strong, he would quite likely outperform. That's a big reason I like the fund.

Other than a LOT of cash, my other major investment is in a short-biased long/short hedge fund, whereas Hussman is a long-biased long/short hedge-fund-like mufu. I'm pretty sure the long/short thing is the way to go for the next several years, and my preference is for a mixture of emphasis. But if I expected a sustained bull, I would be happy to go with Hussman exclusively.
