A month ago I sold a few AMAT/Jan 03 puts, strike at 15. I felt remarkably good about the trade at the time, even though I don't normally sell puts. Figured even if put to me at 15 in five months. (net at 13.50) I would want those shares. Then we proceeded to sink to recent levels and I started to wonder if I had made one of my usual tactical blunders. So, I went back and reread everything I had collected on AMAT over the past few months, rechecked the financials, stared at my framed portrait of Captain Morgan (g) and decided I wanted those shares, if put.

However, with the usual seasonal turn in the markets due in October - January and so many other factors involved, I bet the puts expire worthless and I get to keep the premium. Well, I hope so.
