"Surrender" what? Protection from Federal corruption? (That's what the rules are for: to protect us from corruption).

If Federal Civil Service regulations - enacted to protect the public from the politicization of the bureaucracy after the scandals of the Jackson Administration - are a "security" problem... then the President should make his case.

He has yet to give ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE of how Civil Service regulations could endanger national security.

It he's got a case, make it.
