SSFT Is up 12.46% on low volume.

The company unveiled today the ASR-3200,"a highly accurate and scalable speech recognition engine for adding voice control capabilities to automotive, mobile and PC applications".

They are the old "Visioneer" that changed their name after buying ScanSoft from Xerox in 1999.

They also are a developer of digital imaging software for the small office/home market and their products capture and convert paper documents and photographs into digital documents and images.

There is a substantial short position (34% of the float)and they were EBITDA positive with a $0.03 gain in the last Q.

The institutions that reportedly hold more than 80% of the shares have been doing some buying lately.

The March 2000 L was 2.88 and it seems the stock is worth to keep on a "watch list" as the R/R appears favorable.<g>
