Dashle's job (as a majority leader) is on the line, maybe that's why he is overreacting.

If only it wasn't so sick it would be funny. Daschle politicizes the issue by accusing Bush of politicizing it.

My wife agrees with you -- he is scrambling for his job, so he made the decision today to go for broke.

I agree, and I tend to also believe it's desperation, the last chance before the election.

Daschle has nothing to lose after being embarrassed over his 1998 support to go to war in Iraq.
