My experience with workers unions (UAW) is that they exist to allow so called workers to keep their jobs no matter what their work ethic. I have seen so many auto workers who were fired for drug abuse and other criminal activity in the workplace get their jobs back. It explains the piss poor quality of American cars. I don't buy American because many times there is better value with imports. DOC
