Interesting news this morning and some speculation by me 1. US reverses stand and will send a high level contact to talk with north korea 2. El Quaida base discovered on iran side of afghan border. Iran denies knowledge and US accepts that iran govt may not know but intel and military would. #3 iraq anti aircraft attacked agressively--iraq says civilian airport hit--while condi rice saying iraq hosting el quaida and training terrorists in chem warfare #1 perhaps a marker for saddam on how to get out of the box #2 Perhaps iran will act against el quaida before we have to--scoring points #3 urging iraq to look at #1&2 There are indeed ways to get out of the axis. There still is time to avoid war while achieving our larger aims.
