valuetrader, oversold bounce with limited upside.

The QQQ achieved the turn of most of its trend indicators yesterday. DMI hooked and Ultimate now has a rising bottoms pattern from the lower end of the scale. Market feels like it wants to rally; news today may afford that opportunity. How much upside is the question. Enough to ramp up exposure? Just post the FOMC meeting it was, but on a higher opening today?? Have a few general equity longs, 8% of portfolio, not likely to increase. My "main man" Chris Locke from Amsterdam says the low will be between October 16th and November 6th for a good counter trend rally.....maybe just a retest of recent lows....I'm keeping powder dry for that schedule, trying to figure out the best time to go on a vacation.....you've inspired me.

Possible, but I don't think it likely. On my charts other indicators are not diverging and too many people are calling this a double which it is not and cannot be unless it clears the highs made on the July rally. I am short and holding. I think we may see a mini crash before the week is out or early next week.

Volatility levels (VIX & VXN) are far too low for this to be a significant bottom.
