Funny, that was my initial impression too. I guess we'll just have to wait for the Rolling Stones article to come out for confirmation.

I smell a rat. I have heard and read a lot by Tom Friedman, and this "bought and paid for Big Oil" does not sound like him at all.

I agree but have been waiting to see what appeared. None of the language sounds like Friedman.
