upside : I know its real news.

well, you still don't, actually, but your odds are better.

As I've said before, I find that debka has a very credible track record for its reporting, but not its analysis and speculation. This is solely mho after reading debka carefully for about 2 years.

Ha'aretz is also reporting Pal-Iraqi terror links, confirming debka:

IDF officers to brief CIA on terror cell that trained in Iraq

By Amos Harel, Ha'aretz Correspondent and Ha'aretz Service

A delegation of senior IDF officers has left for Washington in order to brief the CIA on a Palestinian terror cell discovered in Israel that had trained at military camps in Iraq.

The cell, composed of three members who underwent terrorist training in Iraq, was sent to Israel in order to gather information, but might have also had orders to carry out attacks.

The cell members were arrested after trying to return to the West Bank from Iraq. The three belong to a small group called the Arab Liberation Front, which receives orders from Iraq.

About one year ago, another Arab Liberation Front cell, operating out of the West Bank city of Ramallah, was captured after planning to carry out an attack at Ben-Gurion International Airport. It seems that the current group was also planning on carrying out an attack at the airport.

Security sources say that this is not the first time that Iraq has come up within the context of Palestinian terror. In the past, Iraq has been known to be involved in promoting Palestinian terror, in addition to funneling funds and equipment to Palestinian terror organizations.
