Casaubin> average Joe in Japan is just recently ramping up savings in gold instead of yen.

That move was based on the Japanese Govt. removing insurance on savings accounts. That policy has caused an uproar in Japan and may soon be reinstalled which would likely stop the Gold Rush there.

Gold, the Central Banks keep killing that critical $325, but the gap in the lower channel keeps getting smaller and smaller.

One more big pullback and a little backing and filling - in 2003 it may just be able to break outside and then really run. But in a new bull, the weakhands will be taken out of the trade first.

For now, it is overbought near term, expect some weakness in the 4th quarter IMO.
