not just Barrick news, but gold dropped below #320
the high-cost miners got hit harder, like Seabridge
their status as "perpetual gold warrant" is vulnerable

Novagold is holding well (NRI.TO)
last couple weeks I swapped from Seabridge to Novagold
actually did so 100%
now feeling lucky
an Irishman deserves some luck now and again

thinking about swapping some Nova back into Seabridge (SEA.V)
hmmmm
SEA bounced off C$2 up to C$2.17 now

Barrick will do the gold sector a great disservice before this is all played out
if/when their balance sheet disintegrates, some fallout could hit the gold miners generally
it is up to the analysts to get the message out on their hedging and the horrible effects to cash flow and production, not to mention balance sheets

remember, Barrick's hedgebook is not disclosed at earnings releases
so they can play accounting games
and that is exactly what I think they did
