Incidentally, most people are not in a position to have independent opinions on issues like global warming (they are not climatologists), our military arsenal (they are not involved in military procurement), the prospects for the stock market (they are not economists), or whatever. In fact, on many things, supposed experts disagree vehemently. What people do if find those they trust, or who make a good prima facie case (that is not usually memorized), and rely on them for their opinions. That is perfectly normal and inevitable........
