could it be that gold sector is wise to Barrick hedges?

check this out

HUI 122.1, at -3.02% today
XAU 68.7, at -5.03% today

usually the pct moves for HUI are much larger than XAU
ABX 15.76, at -11.31% today
Barrick is the cause
but the gold index movement is a fraction of Barrick's
this might mark the beginning of their long slide
and in fact should go counter to the gold sector

Barrick pulled a tank job in mid-July
compare them to XAU index with this double chart
50 million share spike around July 17th

finance.yahoo.com

compare them to HUI unhedged index with this double chart
the HUI recovery in August-Sept is a little stronger

What do you call someone who prefers to stick their head in the sand and hopes the problem goes away? Isolationists!

>>Show a source for that and I'll read it.

Sorry I'm out of the term paper business. You'll have to think for yourself junior.

I'm not advocating that we go to war with Iraq if it cooperates with WMD inspections. However, the UN took several positions, adopted resolutions, sanctioned Iraq, and then did nothing to enforce the resolutions. The world agreed on the resolutions yet due to perverted leadership in Washington nothing was done.

There was no spine in Washington during the 90's. Our leader was too busy getting blow jobs from intern(s?).

Bush is right, either the UN develops a spine or it becomes irrelevant.
