And, of course, Christians from Lebanon enjoy all the rights the Islamists will allow:

Lebanon to investigate anti-Syria comments

BEIRUT, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Lebanon's Public Prosecutor said on Monday he would investigate "unsettling" comments made by Lebanese opposition figures backing a draft U.S. "terror" law against its political powerbroker Syria.

Adnan Addoum told reporters he had asked security agencies to look into criticism of Syria's political and military domination of Lebanon voiced at a conference of Maronite Christians held in the United States in June.

A number of influential Lebanese Maronite Christian leaders -- who have spearheaded a campaign against Syria's presence in Lebanon -- attended the summit in California at which some delegates called for U.S. sanctions against Syria.

The Syria Accountability Act, now before Congress, aims to punish Damascus for support of Lebanon's Hizbollah guerrillas and radical Palestinian groups such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

The draft act also demands that Syria withdraw its forces from its smaller neighbour Lebanon, where it keeps some 20,000 troops and exercises ultimate political control. The act is opposed by U.S. President George W. Bush's administration.

Addoum said he was also looking into an assortment of more recent criticisms of Syria, including a television interview with an exiled anti-Syrian opposition leader.

Lebanon's pro-Syrian security apparatus has cracked down on the Christian-led anti-Syrian opposition, last year arresting more than 200 people who demonstrated against Syria's presence.

They demonstrated! Oh my!
