If Gore did his "mea culpa" , it would prompt lots of others to do the same, and all the B/S would be got over quickly.

If Gore took the trouble to analyze where things went wrong on the Clinton/Gore watch, and why, and what he thought should be done in the future to prevent those mistakes, he would garner a lot of favorable attention, in my opinion.

Right now, the facts coming out are still in pieces. We are looking at a pile of pieces of information, trying to put together a jigsaw puzzle. We know things went wrong but we aren't sure why.

Someone who could put the puzzle together and explain what was needed for the future would be a real statesman.

I don't think Gore has it in him.
