This is so typical.
After burying their heads in the
sand for eons, demanding everything,
and offering no concessions in a
timely fashion, now he wants credit
for a late, and inadequate, offer.

harumph.

yes ma'am!!
:)

i was chatting with a guy at the gym a few weeks ago, and just coincidentally mentioned the bankruptcy filing of Consolidated Freight in our market discussion and he said...

"yup, just got my notice"

(i didn't know he was employed there)

and then he began to explain to me how concessions should have been made. on the one hand i want to assess blame to the union leaders, but then the rank and file DO vote on the contracts...yet who knows what kind of info they are getting from the union bosses.

btw..

i watched part of an interview this morning with the president of National Airlines...they haven't and probably will not get a dime from what i now call the aviation welfare package....apparently they are too well run...just mismanaged large carriers that are being "rewarded".

fellow came across as a very savvy, brass tacks kinda guy...
