One other plus of IB is they offer 4:1 margin on stock, even overnight. I'm not totally sure, but I think you have to have over $25k in your account to take advantage of that. Of course I've never been ballsy/nuts? enough to use anywhere near that much, even on positions with tight stops. I think anyway for tax reasons, and so I won't have to deal with wash trades, I'm going to switch to trading futures soon. Did you know even short term futures trades only get taxed at a max rate of 28%? (if you're in the highest tax bracket)
