Like how did we justify going to war with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy? Answer - They were allied with Japan which attacked us. Um. Not to mention that Germany and Italy declared war on us first. Foolish move on Hitler's part. Would have screwed up Roosevelt's well laid plans royally if he hadn't done that.
