These attacks on Germany are ridiculous......Germany is the only country in Germany that is honest enough to play it straight with us unlike France and Russia. And please don't forget the peace demonstration planned in the UK this weekend.

These very same people that will be on the streets, if asked 20 years ago, would be overwhelmingly for surrender in the Cold War. Just something to keep in mind when judging significance significance to this event.

Joe, if you mean surrender to the Russians, that is patently absurd. How did you arrive at that conclusion?

That attitude is typical of the past few months; typical of the kind of treatment given to those who have opposed Mr. Bush's agenda in its current format. It is the most disturbing aspect of this whole issue. At varying times, the opposition has been characterized as unloyal, weak, cowardly, unpatriotic, irresponsible, idiotic, uninformed, unintelligent, etc. Surprisingly, its seems never to have dawned on Bush and company that given the size and vehemence of the opposition that they[the opposition] may be on to something. Frankly, I would have to question the quality of an intellect that doesn't reconsider its position in the face of such opposition.
