I've heard no one call for the destruction of Iraq, as you put it. Keeping its Dam Sad leader weaponless and powerless to promote the terrorism he certainly desires to promote, is appropriate for the sake of us all. Inaction in Iraq would certainly backfire, or so most of us have reason to confidently believe.
