Yesh that is the point how far reaching the implications are. I successfully bought put options on FNM last MAY and was happy to cash in the DEC 80's quite handsomely. I think FNM could be jammed to 72 and would joyously reenter a deep in the money put for let's say April '03. Does ths vision mean hundreds of thousands of people lose their homes? Are we talking no employment, soup kitchens. Four years ago, I told my husband that we were going into the greatest bear market in all of history and he poo poohed the idea. We are all seeing the same thing. How can one be looking for a "bottom" of any charachter in this market?
