Nope its a crappy word. Well, Its an ok word by it self but when slipped into a sentence it creates linguistic distress. Any fair person would know that.

I also like the word. I understand Jewel's concern. I doubt I would use the word face-to-face unless certain rare conditions existed. But in bulletin board postings I think it is good to make use of the full range of language. People may look up (without embarassment and without a loss of comprehension) that which they don't know. So we all learn. I have learned much from people on SI...
