Yes. Especially when used to describe the character of an adult with whom the relationship has a known context. Adding "creature" to the descriptor indicates that the character is considered lacking with respect to human dignity. Feral in another context could denote something like "wild and crazy funny guy." The overlap is clearly set in the context. IMO
