IMO, 5-years from now, Sears, JC Penney, and (much sooner) K-Mart will probably all have departed from the retail scene. I don't know what malls are going to do if that happens. Maybe they'll cozy up to Ikea or something.

i don't know if Sears will survive. they are not on my go-to-zero list yet, but they are a not-small position. IF problems start to crop up in the credit card portfolio, then things could get very interesting there. they don't have a ton of room for error IMO given that they just paid $1.8 billion cash for $35mm of annual cash flow at Land's End.
