Yes, exactly. They are thinking ahead and setting up their plays.

And it they can work it in reverse, too, as they did May 8th, when, after weeks of the market going down, down, down, they decided to ramp it on mediocre CSCO earnings.

They had gotten their cheap call opions and ran the QQQ's up 250%. They got their cheap CSCO and QLGC calls and ramped them up as high as 1,000% (in ONE day).

Then the very next day, we went down, down, down again, for weeks. There was zero follow-through. That was classic and told me how much they were in control and most were relegated to either sheep (traders) or lemmings (the 401K folks and mutual fund managers).
