didn't know early warning was a regulation.. I thought it was to get bad news out early so the stock didn't take as big a hit when they missed earnings. companies started doing this a few years ago when the stocks would get killed when they didn't warn.

I hope you are right, as it would seem logical. I was reading elsewhere though (maybe just someone's misinformed opinion) that they only need warn regarding their own estimates, and not the analysts'.
When is earnings release date for EXTR?
I use the VectorVest system and this is the first time they've ever traded below VV's assigned value ($4.59 as of Friday).
