I see what you mean on Torricelli. This would kill him anywhere but New Jersey, I think. And maybe even there. :^) From the "NYT" Support Found for Claims by Torricelli Donor, Letter Says By TIM GOLDEN and DAVID KOCIENIEWSKI Oh, it gets worse. Now there is a scratchy video tape of Toricelli entering a convenience store in Fort Lee just after Chang did. Toricelli is accompanied by what the newspapers now say was a "garbage management consultant." Whoops. Tape was shown on the New York City NBC station last night and Jeff Greenfield did a piece on it on Aaron Brown's CNN show last night. Also, the Bergen Record, a very good daily in this area, covers the very rich Bergen County, generally a liberal paper, is going all out to get Toricelli. Then there is Harkin. Not a good season for my sometimes side.
