My wife has made the same suggestion. Change the spelling and grammar to English...not American English.

The piece is a mixture of theatrical humor and historical fact to make a point, sic it's perspective and who controls the writing of history.

If the audience is American, would the English grammar and spelling be a distraction or be a contribution? I'm not sure. I certainly wouldn't re-write it in 1770s American grammar and spelling. That's difficult to read for those not used to it.

Length is another problem. It runs a bit over 3 pages as it stands. You don't want it tooo long, but you still want it fun reading. Strip out all the fun and you've got about 5 lines.
