"Without getting into the Lewis issue, I'd say that the Wahhabis in SA are more like the US Christian right fundamentalists, they provide some populist cover for the rich guys who really run things. Well, maybe the KKK analogy isn't that far off, for a certain time in history in the US." Good comment. But, the question still lingers. To what extent has the Wahhabi influence infected other Muslim countries, which ones, and what should be our concern about Wahhabism?
