John, you'll find the trail goes very cold very quickly. Let's not be too gullible. Lots of noise and years of planning and the spooks can't find known terrorists before they fly into the Twin Towers but they can find a couple of guys with a lead box in a car in Turkey. It's laughable.

I guarantee there is NO information on exactly who, where, when, how or why this cargo of 'Weapons of Mass Destruction Enriched Uranium' came to be found by the paramilitary guys.

That's because the purpose was to demonstrate that uranium is being driven around Iraq, or really close to it, probably on the way to Saddam's palaces and to scare everyone into thinking we'd better write a blank cheque and by crikey, the spooks really know what they are doing now so they need a pay rise and a big bonus payment.

What a joke.

I will watch with amusement and will not be the slightest surprised when we hear nothing more. The two prisoners who were driving the car will be found to not actually know what the heck was in there or if they do, they were naive, ignorant and merely paid drivers and the people paying are NOT traceable. I guarantee the two drivers are NOT found to be associated in any way with terrorist groups.

I far prefer that scenario to the option that it really was an intercept of actual terrorist uranium smuggling. However, I would NOT be surprised to find that somebody has got actual terrorist cargoes of uranium or even an actual working mini-nuke. It might even be stashed somewhere such as in a lead box in a lead-lined container in a city somewhere in the USA. Opium as a decoy cargo to enable bribery to get the actual bomb through customs would be a good method to sneak it through. A customs officer wouldn't feel too bad about a shipment of opium going through, but would NOT approve a cargo of nuke.
