Yes Jay, quite likely. But mice need to be very careful when elephants and spring-loaded booby traps are making life dodgy.

The CBs might actually do the right things. Just to catch some mice - maybe even inadvertently.

I agree though that there do appear to be vast opportunities. I passed up such an opportunity in 1995 when there were 79 yen to the dollar and Microsoft was cheap. My plan to borrow yen, switch to US$ and buy MSFT was foiled by lack of lending by local banks.

I'd like to perhaps borrow a big heap of yen, convert to US$, buy big heap QUALCOMM, sell big heap cdma2000 cyberphones, PDAs and Tablets to Au and Unicom then use that money to buy big heap Lexus, Gulfstream, Tablet and pdQ while paying off derisory Yen interest rates. Tempting!
