Whoa there, Tom Paine would never have decided to intercede government in the middle of a national scheme to hook millions on welfare, increase gov't by 10X, and eliminate local charity. His goal was freedom from tyranny, not enslavement of both the taxed and the subsidized. As far as the "dream to end poverty" -- an abject failure, as anyone can tell you. The headlong rush to government dependency is a disease causing social failures on a massive scale destroying families, literacy, and any sense of culture. Again, when idiots like you misunderstand the situation, you claim the other side of the discussion "hates America". LOL! What a joke. Learn English. Then learn logic.
