long-gone, what can I say?

Is his opinion the "Holy Grail"?

Going back to the article I can't see anything anti-Republican about this:
>>> Saddam Hussein's Baath political party "is the deadliest enemy to religious fundamentalism you can find," Cole told a policy forum at Case Western Reserve University. The Iraqi dictator has "persecuted and killed both Sunni and Shiite fundamentalists in great number," he said. <<<

In fact, I heard Tariq Aziz, the Iraq foreign minister, saying the same thing on a local TV interview.
