According the the "Big Lie" Principle as espoused in Mein Kampf one of the most important things a dictator can do is to create mythologies to surround the saints of the Homeland while creating a one-dimensional monster, hopefully swarthy, hopefully foreign who can become the object of hatred of the terrorized population. Allowing the Bush propaganda machine to create disingenuous myths about Reagan and Heston is to allow them to deceive the nation. They are, after all, fakers.
