I'm not going to speculate as to where that particular batch may have been heading. But that nuclear material was found ~30 miles from the Syrian border. The last time I heard, Syria wasn't our ally.

There isn't a country in that region that wouldn't pay dearly to have nukes to counter the 200+ nukes in the Israeli inventory. I wish people would grow up about these things. If they can't get nukes, they'll go after biological-chemical weapons.

If they had found a taxi in Capetown, South Africa with enriched uranium, would they have said....only 5,000 miles from the Iraq border.

There were several hundred thousand people each in London and Italy demonstrating against any non-UN action against Iraq...you can barely find it in the news...not a main story in the London Times even.
