tooearly, the $VIX 50 reading isn't a target

In fact, I don't have a specific target in mind. But if we get an intraday over 50 anytime soon, I'll be watching very closely, as I don't want to be caught on the wrong side of a 700 point intraday Dow move like we had on 7/24.

In my prior post I was only noting how an intraday reading above 50 marked an intermediate term bottom (few weeks or months) at least a couple of times in the last few years.

As for a target for a VIX reading for "the" bottom, during the 1987 crash we saw an intraday reading of 172, and we saw intraday readings over 100 for a week. maoxian.com

What is your target for the next low (not "the" low, but the next intermediate term low)?
