Don't you find this even more ironic given the belief that BOTH Jews and Arabs are descended from Abraham (Isaac and Ishmael)?? You forget Jacob vs Esau (aka Edom) as well. Nope, the origins of the family feud are laid out in Genesis. As Jewish tradition says, 'the hatred of Edom for Jacob is as solid as the law'. The fact that for the Muslims, as for Christians before them, the conversion of the Jews was a dearly desired, but not-to-be-had, publicity coup, didn't help relations any.
