Based on this logic, you'd think that the UN would be demanding proof that the US had destroyed its stockpiles of WMDs.

Based on this logic, it makes a little more sense to concentrate on regimes likely to willingly give the stuff to terrorists, yes? Then you could concentrate on regimes that are likely to lose control over the stuff. It will keep you busy for a while, before you turn to American and other regimes.

However, I find it curious that Nasser's use of poison gas has completely dropped down the memory hole.
