I know you didn't ask me but.....that sounds about right to me. And once these fast large percentage losses occur do you think the public will see this as a good time to buy? I doubt it. But I hope I do <g>.

T2: The end of this phase of the secular bear should have increased frequency of relatively large percentage drop days.

When too many people get short, it should slow the decline. Right now, it can be argued that shorts represent the buying power of the market and they are merely playing against each other to a large extent. That is why buying the new low may work -- shorts have profits to take then as it is the first time we have reached that level and so everybody who shorted above it has unrealized gains.
