Not much in Barron's this week. Analysts say the S&P is trading at 23x to 24x earnings this year (and we don't have the tech tailwind any more), which falls to 14x earnings next year based on estimates.
Pervasive feeling is 2003 estimates are "pie in the sky," Barron's said.
And we all know what happens when company XYZ does not make their numbers. And rising fuel prices heighten the risk of that happening to more companies.
So, I still see a valley ahead before we climb the next hill.
Thanks for the list of media stocks. Really not much to pick from anymore, is there? I'd have to pass on Westinghouse (which didn't make the list).
