A frail labor peace between shipping lines and West Coast longshoremen collapsed Sunday when workers were barred indefinitely from the docks at the 29 major Pacific ports.

The timing and strategy here seem suspect.

A message left Sunday evening with the Labor Department was not immediately returned. The union has accused the Bush administration of meddling in talks, which began in May.

Junior probably made a deal with the Airlines to boost air-cargo so they would mute their comments on his security blunders which are driving air carriers to bancrupcy. In the mean time he can create a whole new crisis distraction by sending in the military to unload cargo under some national security pretext, and give another kick to unions at the same time.

Absolutely Enigma, there is no escape; they must

deal with the sinkhole economy. I've been praying
for a joint Bush-Greenspan-Cheney press
conference. Somehow there's probably some
entertainment to be had from this deadbeat
administration.
